Hello fellow stitchers. I hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend. I managed to finish this mini sampler in time to enjoy the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. That's 60 years for a woman to hold a HUGE job in a man's world. That's impressive. And so far she's not forced into retirement. That's a miracle.Queen's Diamond Jubilee Sampler

The backing, I love this fabric I was lucky to have found a fat quarter. I put it to good use.
I added some glass beads from Mill Hills. Of course a Queen needs to have sparkle in her crown.
Now if I could only stitch and finish this fast on my other larger WIP'S....One can hope.Off to stitch on Ann Dale and accompany my mom who's been watching the BBC America channel - lots of programs of the Queen's reign. Very delightful.
I wish you a wonderful week and may your needle and thread comply with your designs:)
Always with my Love and Appreciation - Annette

Love the fabric backing, great complimentary colors and pattern. Happy to see you finished in time for the big celebration. Enjoy!
Love the addition of beads Annette. Great fabric also. I wish I were a faster stitcher in general. :) http://astitchersstory.blogspot.com/
Wonderful finish!!
Very sweet finish, Annette! I have a charm on my sterling bracelet from the queens silver jubilee (my aunt was visiting England at the time) and I hope to get one for her diamond jubilee, as well. I agree - every queen's crown needs a little sparkle!
Just wanted you to know, I loved your finish of this memorable piece, that I went over to The Sampler Girl's site and picked this up. This will be a fun piece and a piece of history. Thanks for sharing.
I really love this piece. The added beads are a perfect touch!
A proper finish, indeed, Annette!! I really love it and am so glad your mom and you have had fun watching all the coverage of the Jubilee :)
I love your finish, and the addition of the small pearl beads!
That's adorable!!!
A very cute and quick finish. Love the backing fabric, classy.
Love this! Your addition of the beads is perfect. I totally agree that a little bling would be appropriate!
That's a great finish, a wonderful design to commemorate this event.
