Easter Ornament!

Hello lovely friends! I had seen on France's blog Here her beautiful Easter tree! One of her ornaments caught my eye. And the best part she listed some freebie links and I downloaded the one I wanted to stitch. Right away I pulled out threads and let my son select one. I stitched it yesterday and today I completed it. I don't think I've stitched & completed an ornament before so fast - LOL!

I think the fabric I used was 28ct mono linen but maybe not. I pulled from my remnant pile! The thread is by Needle Necessities Inc. #108. I added a few sequins from my moms sewing box. The link for the chart is HERE! Thank you France's for your inspiration. I enjoyed stitching this bunny!!!

Here's my Easter Tree!
If you haven't seen France's Easter Tree please pop on over to her blog HERE!
Thank you for stopping by &  I wish you many Blessings for Easter!

Hello Spring!

Hello beautiful friends! The sun is out shinning today and the weather is beautiful. I've got roses blooming and the weeds are too! LOL!!! But on a stitching note I've been having fun. I finished one sampler that was not one of my Debbie's Challenge pieces but after finishing Winter Wonderland I pulled out one from my new starts.

32ct linen hand dyed by ME!
All over dyed threads required were used

 Floral Fifteen by Just Nan
After finishing Winter Wonderland (a winter project) I wanted to work on something for Spring! I selected Floral fifteen by Just Nan. 32ct off white linen, 10 of 15 floral motifs done. DO need to add beads on them. This will be a Biscornu! And this is also one of my new starts for Debbie's Challenge. LOVE getting to pull out a project that has already been started.

Photo turned sideways...sorry...But the motifs look the same from all sides.
Next I will be stitching the last 5 floral motifs on 32ct just green linen. Then the assembling of attaching them together - that will be interesting...LOL!

Lets take a tour of what's in bloom right now around our home.  This was a small cutting I had gotten from Nannies Garden! It's in bloom and needs some more TLC! I see some brown leaves.

My lavender plant from my son has been opening up lots of blooms. SO far so good for this plant!

Seems the only time I have blooms to share with you is right now Spring! Here are some of the roses in bloom. They smell amazing.

Thank you for stopping by! With love and my appreciation - Annette

Happy March finishes!

Hello lovely friends! Oh boy have I been busy the last week. I decided to complete a few projects. They were in my pile that had been stitched but not made into anything. Wanting to decorate a bit more for Easter/Spring I have 5 new finishes to show you. Lots to share - here we go....

Back in March 2013 I had stitched "Save an egg decorate a carrot!" The orange & yellow fabric I cut strips and sewed them to the sampler making it a flatfold. To make the flatfold I followed Vonna's tutorial here!
When I see this I still laugh. I just think its so funny and makes me smile:)

I added a bow and a piece of yellow gathered tulle that I tacked/stitched down.

Added some rick rack & I pulled some flowers from my scrapbook stash making a arrangement in the corner and every flower is sewn down. I didn't use glue.

"Chicks" by Lizzie Kate
I love this one. I had some peeps fabric which is very sparkly & I had some egg eyelets I used in the upper corners for the ribbon hanger. On completing this project I've now finished 4 of 15 wips for 2015 Debbie's Challenge.

I have more spring ornaments to bring out that I may have to switch to a larger tree,
but for now I am loving this mini tree.

All 3 of these designs are by Le fil Atalie
I stitched all 3 of these kits last year. Have finally finished them as sweet pillows. I call these my 3 French Spring pillows.

This on is all silk threads.

The cording I made for the trim all around. I just love this one.

Dupioni silks were used for all the backings.

And here is my progress on Winter Wonderland by BBD.
Hard to believe it's March already.  Hope you are well and staying warm for those of you still in snow weather. Always with my love and appreciation - Annette
