Token of Love & Update Fairy Hill

Hello Friends! I have a finish to share with you. I actually finished this before I went to my classes with my guild and Ellen. Last week I had some dental work (abscess tooth removed) and I am still recouping.  Most part the pain meds put me to sleep. Feeling much better - but still not 100% yet. The hardest part was sleeping sitting up for last 5 nights.  At least the sick tooth now is all gone.  No I didn't ask for it so I could leave it under my pillow for the TOOTH FAIRY -lol.
Anyways on to some pretties:)

"A Token of Love" - Barbara Bernard

32ct Belfast Linen
Threads used:
Sand - Weeks Dye Works, then ran out of that color and finished with Country Lane - CC. lol it worked.
Chestnut - WDW  Wanted to start right away & didn't have Apple Cider-Sampler Threads(now I do).
Gold Leaf - GA
Evergreen - GA
Tropical Ocean - GA
Red Grape - GA     &   DMC 640 - perle #12

Anna Griffin fabric for the lining.  I thought it was soft in colors and a good match.

Update on Bothny Threads Cut Thru SAL Monday. This is for this last 2 Monday nights progress.

Love using the Qsnap frame for this and I LOVE my Qsnap Huggie.

The weather here last week was 106 degrees on Saturday. Since then the temps have really cooled down to high 50's and low 80's. Perfect nice weather really. I hope you are having a wonderful summer. With my Love and Appreciation - Annette

Hi Annette

Firstly I hope you are still making a good recovery from your dental work, poor you, sounds horrendous.

Your stitching is looking great, I love your token of love - it's beautiful and your cut thru is coming on great.

We were busy at the business and also had men it at home putting a new fire place and burner in - the house was upside down and quite honestly couldn't get to my stitching the previous week, let alone do any. I can't wait for it all to get back to normal again and back into my SAL routine.

Take care and thanks for always stopping by, it means a lot

So sorry to hear about your abscessed tooth. I can see how something like that would keep you from doing the things you want to do!

Nice finish on the BB piece - the colors are wonderful and you've finished it beautifully!

Love your quaker needlecase. My friend Lisa, (an easily influenced stitcher) brought hers to guild this week and I absolutley loved it. Yours is equally as lovely!

"A Token of Love" is such a great finish! The fabric you lined it with is perfect. Even though you didn't leave your tooth under the pillow, I think the Tooth Fairy should leave you something - like a new chart :)

Oh, I hope you've fully recovered from the tooth removal, Annette! That sounds horrid!!

Your Token of Love is amazing--and so perfectly stitched and finished!

106!! Oh, I can't imagine--I hope it is dry heat and not the horrid humidity that we get here in the east :)

Hope you are very soon back to normal--poor thing! It seems like you really had a rough time.

You should have asked for that tooth--I think the tooth fairy would have felt sorry for you with all that pain and left you some wonderful needlework goodies.

The Q-snap Huggie is an excellent idea especially for keeping excess fabric out of the way. Thanks for the link.
