Hello friends!
For today's new start I selected "Cinderella" by Disney/Original Art by Thomas Kinkade small kit.
I switched the 16ct white adia tiny piece of fabric for 32ct White Belfast linen. Stitching 2 over 2 threads.
Here I thought I would be able to start and finish this small today. NOPE!!!
This pretty design has 29 different colored threads...
I don't know about you but for me I need my threads to be separated. So I made today my own floss cards and had to pretty much guess what thread went with the name matching on the chart. But I was able to get it done. I like to be able to see what floss I need for the according symbol on the chart. Makes it much easier when stitching.
Here's a close up of today's progress. Not much but I should get more stitching done next time I work on it now that the threads are sorted. With love and appreciation - Annette

Pretty stitching! :)
I do it the same way when I stitch a kit. First I switch the Aida fabric to some linen and then I sort the floss colours. This is sometimes rather difficult when there are no DMC reference numbers given. Great new project here.
I love that Thomas Kinkade series. Good luck!
Sometimes those small pieces are deceptive, aren't they, Annette... They end up taking more time to stitch than a larger piece due to all the color changes! Very cute start today!
What a sweet kit your mother would love! Yes, I need my flosses organized too.
Great start Annette. I have all those kits but of course haven't stitched any of them.

I have a few kinkade kit in my stash, i think they are quite deceptive just how intense they are!
Lovely --- but I can see that a goodly chunk of the day had to go to sorting and carding... so annoying I'm sure.
She'll be lovely though.
These little kits stitch up gorgeously!
Can't wait to see it done!
Great start, love those Disney kits :)
Have to sort my threads too. Too many colors look the same.
Love the kit!
